Overview

Togetherly was born from a personal experience, a feeling of disconnect I witnessed in my own family. After seeing my grandfather struggle with loneliness and a declining sense of purpose while living alone, I felt a deep urgency to act.

Leveraging vibe-coding, I transitioned from a raw emotional insight to a high-fidelity prototype. Togetherly is a platform designed to bridge the gap between solo-living seniors and their families through shared cognitive activities, slowing the effects of aging while fostering a genuine sense of belonging.

Outcomes & Impact

As an ongoing side project, Togetherly represents a fundamental shift in my creative process, prioritizing high-level intent and narrative flow over manual technical constraints. By leveraging vibe-coding, I’ve been able to move rapidly from a personal spark of empathy to a functional prototype, maintaining a focus on the human experience throughout development. Next, I plan to conduct usability testing with both adult caregivers and elderly parents. My ultimate vision is to create a seamless digital bridge for families living apart, transforming routine "check-ins" into meaningful, shared experiences that foster genuine connection.

Overview

My team was asked to create a great way to allow beginners and investors with idle funds can invest safely and easily. As the sole UX designer, I led the end-to-end design of WOO X Earn, a new investment product aimed at novice users on a platform traditionally built for pro traders. The goal was to create a simple, intuitive experience while ensuring the design could scale with future features.

The Challenge

WOO X is a platform tailored for professional traders, but as WOO X was expanding, WOO X Earn needed to attract and support newer, less experienced investors. The challenge was twofold:

  • Simplicity vs. Complexity: How do you make financial features understandable and approachable for beginners without oversimplifying?

  • Present vs. Future: How do you build a clean MVP while designing for future scalability?

Outcomes & Impacts

Achieved an 11% conversion rate, which doubled the average. The user engagement boosted 20%.

"Connection Gap" for 16 million seniors living alone

The data shows that: In 2023, 28% of US seniors (16.2 million people) lived alone. Isolation isn't just a feeling; it’s a health crisis that leads to depression and accelerated cognitive decline.

My personal experience with my grandfather revealed a specific pain point: technology often feels like a barrier rather than a bridge. This led to my core design challenge:

How might we help seniors feel deeply connected and cared for through technology that feels intuitive, not overwhelming?
The process

Rapid prototyping with vibe-coding

Instead of the traditional "design then handoff" bottleneck, I leveraged vibe-coding to keep the momentum of my creative flow:

  • Natural language to code: I articulated the emotional needs of the user and the design goals to AI, allowing it to handle the code while I focused on the UX architecture and design direction.

  • Iterative prototyping: I was able to tweak the interface and interaction models as quickly as I could think of them. Also, I was able to apply the same color palette across platforms with just one simple command.

  • Human-Centered AI: By offloading the technical "how," I spent my energy on the "why," ensuring the senior-facing interface remained accessible and warm.
